Billy
Saccomanno
Billy Saccomanno
is the Chief Judge for the Mid Continent
Color Guard Association, and serves as
adjudicator for Winter Guard International,
Atlantic Indoor Association and Florida
Federation of Judges Association.
Additionally, he has been serving as a guest
judge and clinician for local marching band
and winter guard circuits in 20 different
states across the United States.
Billy's passion for the
marching arts has been evidenced by many
years of teaching marching band and winter
guard including Black Watch, Apex and Bpex,
Innuendo, and Extraordinaire Winter Guards
as well as several high schools in the New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and North
Carolina, and Missouri areas. His drum corps
teaching resume includes the Phantom
Regiment, Crossmen, Jersey Surf, Teal Sound,
Reading Buccaneers, and Hawthorne
Caballeros.

Jude
Boughton
Jude Boughton
is excited to start his third year with The
Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps serving
as color guard caption head and coordinator.
Previous drum corps work includes Phantom
Regiment (Color Guard Caption Head 03-04),
The Colts (Program Coordinator 05-09), The
Glassmen (Movement Instructor 05), & The
Reading Buccaneers (Color Guard Designer
98-99).
Boughton has worked
extensively as a dance clinician and
movement instructor around the country
working with groups including 2011 WGI SA
Silver Medalist Mechanicsburg High School,
WGI SA finalist Ben Davis High School, TOB/ACC
Champion Pittston Area High School, 2009 WGI
IO Bronze Medalist Juxtaposition Winter
Guard, and 10-time WGI IW class finalist The
Black Watch Winter Guard.
Attending Kutztown
University of Pennsylvania with a focus in
Theater & Dance and additional studies in
“Movement for Non-Dancers“ & “Dance in the
Musical Theater“ Boughton has also served as
a movement adjudicator since 1997 working
for WGI, DCA, and NJA. Originally from
Pittston, Pennsylvania Jude has just
recently moved to Austin, Texas where he is
employed at Round Rock High School as visual
designer and color guard director. Jude is
proud to be serving as a member of the WGI
board of directors. |
Greg
King
Greg currently lives in
the Allentown, Pennsylvania area and has
been involved in the color guard activity
for the past 25 years. His marching
experience includes The Classics winter
guard, Penn State Syndicate winter guard,
Westshoremen Drum Corps and Sunrisers Drum
Corps. When WGI repealed the age restriction
on the World Class, he took the opportunity
and marched in Just Class Winter Guard as a
WGI World Class finalist, at the age of 32.
Greg’s teaching and design
experience jump started very soon after his
high school performing days. He has
designed, instructed and consulted for many
marching bands and color guards throughout
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and
Delaware. He has also had the pleasure to be
a color caption head and designer for the
Reading Buccaneer Drum and Bugle Corps
2000-01 and 2006-07, the Hawthorne
Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps 2003-04
culminating in two consecutive Best Color
Guard awards. He has also designed for Teal
Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010 and
served as assistant color guard caption head
for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps in
2005 as well as a member of the
instructional team with The Magic of Orlando
in 2002.
In addition to being
active as an instructor and designer, Greg
has also been involved in judging both
winter guard and marching band. He has had
the privilege of judging for local circuits
with NJA/TOB and TRWEA, as well as the MCCGA
and North Texas Color Guard circuits. |
